The Roger Stone indictment is the biggest tell of no collusion. He was trying to talk to Wikileaks through an intermediary to find out what they had on Clinton, so he could go tell Trump and earn brownie points. If the Trump campaign was already actually conspiring, colluding and co-ordinating… why would someone else be trying to figure out what Wikileaks had? You'd know already directly from your fellow "conspirators".

I don't get it. You say this is a hoax and a conspiracy, yet you also say that Trump is aligned with the Koch Bros. and the military-industrial complex to invade Venezuela and Iran for oil. If Trump is aligned with these corrupt people then why would these same people be so desperate to create a fake Russia hoax to kick him out? How is this suppose to make sense?

Ever hear of "Laundering Money" ? When this is all done the FBI/CIA used Steele to "LAUNDER" a Dossier or to give it CRED. The Dossier came from Brennan and Glenn Simpson who just used an old script he wrote about McCain 10 years earlier, I shit you not……………….. In any case, the history of the “Steele dossier” doesn’t begin with Christopher Steele or Nellie Ohr in the summer of 2016; it begins with a story that Glenn Simpson and Mary Jacoby co-wrote for The Wall Street Journal dated April 17, 2007. “How Lobbyists Help Ex-Soviets Woo Washington” details how prominent Republicans, including the 1996 Republican presidential candidate Robert Dole, opened doors in the American capital for Kremlin-affiliated oligarchs and other friends of Vladimir Putin. Among those friends of Putin was Viktor Yanukovich, who would become president of Ukraine in 2010. According to the article, one of Yanukovich’s wealthy patrons paid a political fixer named Paul Manafort to introduce Yanukovich to powerful Washington, D.C., figures, including former Vice President Dick Cheney. Manafort figures prominently throughout the piece.

A year later, when Simpson and Jacoby discovered that a consultant to John McCain’s 2008 presidential run was working with Yanukovich, they could hardly have been surprised to find Paul Manafort in the middle of a new scandal. As they reported in another Wall Street Journal article, dated May 14, 2008, Davis Manafort, Manafort’s lobbying firm, was escorting Yanukovich around Washington. For instance, in 2006, Manafort accompanied him at a breakfast for journalists at the Willard Hotel.

Don't understand what this discussion is about. That rachel maddow is a conspiracy theorist? Or she's projecting the prague thing as a conspiracy theory and not proof of collusion? Or that rachel shud hav used info from the dossier that cohen was in prague and correlated that with 1) the 50k payment, 2) cellphone records that prove his presence, and 3) cohen's denial that he went to prague, as proof of collusion? Aaron Mate shud speak a little louder. Didn't know Rachel earns $7mil pa.

Rebecca Brown May 23, 2019 - 12:49 pm

Am I the only one who's not overlooking the huge elephant in the room being Trump's stance on Illegal immigration and how this show skirts around that topic? Does Jimmy's wife has something to do about that?

John Tate May 23, 2019 - 12:49 pm

I see some people here – in fairness very few – who are questioning whether Cohen's testimony can be trusted. I think this is missing a critical point: he didn't just say he has never been to Prague, which in and of itself would be relatively difficult to confirm or disconfirm, but that he has never even been to the Czech Republic. That is easy to check, unless we're going full James Bond and assuming he adopted a secret identity and travelled under false documents. But Cohen is not a professional spy, and that kind of spin on the theory would surely be too much even for the most ardent conspiracy theorist. Wouldn't it?

This is the pajama boy mentality that Victor David Hanson points out to describe a churlish Child in An adult body who fuels his conceit By lying to you and then Laughing in your face for believing him Even as he declares himself to have lied to you. It's been the mentality of the Democratic Party for many years as the mainstream media celebrated Bill Clinton's ability to lie to the public. However there was no greater skilled liar or politician than bill Bill Clinton because the public is by far more cynical than they used to be. The problem is the public is filled with ignorant voters that have to be educated not only about this duplicitous mentality but economic facts of life as well as our political heritage that gave us the economy and freedoms that we have today
