Marriage is a conspiracy. "They" want you to get married. "They" want you to be miserable. "They" want you to get divorced. "They" want you to give them half of what's rightfully yours. "They" want you to end up in a rundown hotel or shady apartment complex because you are now broke. "They" will find another victim and do it all over again. We are not safe from "them". Stay single and RUN when "they" bring up marriage!!!

Conspiracy theories primarily target at a low-intelligence audience to
make the lies more acceptable as much as possible. Do not ask why so many
people believe these lies, there are many fools out there …

I am looking for a beginners video about conspiracy theories including the CIA paper clip operation in which world wide media were paid or later motivated to publish their messages.

maybe it's because religion is a conspiracy and they usually Try to imprint you as a small child. Or maybe it's because Santa Claus is a conspiracy may also try to implement this on you as a small child. Morons start their children up on a conspiracy. So don't tell me there isn't any conspiracies.

Maybe if conspiracy theorists weren't arrogant dickheads who thought they were better than everyone, people would actually listen

Questioning anything the government or media says = conspiracy theory 😂

Big pharma under intense pressure actually admitted that the chemical imbalance theory for mental illness was never true but these people who knew all along that Big Pharma was screwing people and still is were labeled as conspiracy theorists.

Someone can shoot the president of the united states and we are told it was Lee Harvey Oswald and we believe it at face value as there is zero proof but questioning whether he did it or whether there were multiple shooters is a conspiracy?

Right because we wanna believe the government is screwing everyone over hahahahaha makes sooo much sense yes science will prove that. Kidding! You kinda backfired yourself

it took 20 seconds to confirm that the idiots making this crap claim to believe that conspiracy theories are patently false.

You idiots aren't able to understand the definitions of the two words? conspiracy is 2 or more people working together on something illegal or immoral. A theory is a hypothesis based on some facts which needs more research to confirm or deny.

So how could it possibly be that they'd all be false? Does that mean that never do two people put their heads together to commit a crime or hurt somebody?

Seems wrong to believe that somehow.

Funny how I knew even before your rotten video started that it would be a biased manipulative piece of shit.

Are you doofuses doing this because you believe it? Are you that stupid? Or is this being done in bad faith and you're that evil?

fuck you all. You're garbage in either case, stupid or evil.

I do believe that LifeHacker is right when they say that people come up with conspiracy theories because of the survival instincts instilled in us. People become so consumed with the thought that there must be more to an event or even a “better” explanation. I believe this is why the radical conspiracy theorists are out there. As for the average person, there are probably more factors than our innate survival skills. Some people are just interested in the idea or the possibility of the conspiracy theory but don't necessarily believe the conspiracy theory in itself. There is an adrenaline rush and excitement when you learn about a crazy conspiracy theory. Even if it’s not true, it is interesting to believe that the wildfires in California were caused by direct energy weapons. People often seek reasoning behind the occurrence of something because they don’t think about the event completely rationally and their rational reasoning isn’t the answer they wanted or thought.

Another reason conspiracy theories are appealing is most likely due to the media attention they receive. Shane Dawson, who has over 21 million subscribers has over 130 videos on conspiracy theories which altogether has almost 87 million views, has popularized a lot of conspiracy theories. Not only has Shane Dawson popularized specific theories, but he is reaching an audience who normally wouldn’t be likely to watch or even be interested in conspiracy theories. A lot of people, myself included, aren’t necessarily even agreeing or believing with Dawson, it is just interesting to hear about these crazy theories. Dawson isn’t the only one making YouTube videos on conspiracy theories. Conspiracy videos are so popular on YouTube, that YouTube announced they were going to stop recommending conspiracy theory videos. They claim that this affects less than 1% of videos on the platform, which doesn’t sound significant, except that there are billions of videos on this platform. So it is still a huge amount of videos effected. They’ve even removed videos calling them “misleading” or “misinformation.” According to their transparency report, they have taken down over 6 million videos for spam, misleading content, and scams.

As a lot of people are saying here in the comments, it is just fun for them to watch these types of videos, or read about them. As for those who say conspiracy theorists are just gullible, crazy and cowards, maybe some people are just that. However, for the majority of people, it's just something intriguing to hear about. Perhaps it is still unproductive to watch a bunch of conspiracy videos, let alone come up with one yourself, but I do believe they are relatively harmless.

Legitimate sources? Six corporations own 92% of all media sources including TV, Newspapers, and magazines. IF YOU THINK THAT AN AIRPLANE CAN TURN AROUND IN WEST VIRGINIA, AFTER TWO PLANES HAVE HIT THE TWIN TOWERS, AND FLY IT RIGHT INTO THE SIDE OF THE PENTAGON WITHOUT ANY ASSISTANCE, I SUGGEST THAT YOU TRY IT.

I've been deep in the conspiracy theory/truther community for years now and what I have found is that most of these conspiracy theorists, with both big and small followings have an underlying religious (Christian) agenda and/or they have a criminal history. Religion knows its dying so this is one of the new masks they are trying to bring people back to the church.

By the experience I had with some close relatives mental health problems and isolation have a lot to do with being vulnerable to conspiracy theories.

I once people cross that door it's unlikely they can go back
