Oklahoma Highway Patrol agents and ICE agents arrested 120 illegal immigrants in an operation near the Texas border.
Operation Guardian was the name of a deportation plan launched by Governor. Kevin Stitt coordinated with Oklahoma’s Department of Public Safety.
The sting was conducted along Interstate 40. Officials found that most offenders had unreliable licenses while driving 18-wheelers weighing 80,000 pounds.
90 illegal alien truckers were arrested between Monday and Friday.
Law enforcement arrested 90 undocumented truck drivers between Monday and Friday of last week. Other 30 detained people had previous arrests for human smuggling and assault, as well as drugs.
“A majority went to the Oklahoma City ICE Office.” Tipton explained that initially, some went to Tulsa and from there, (ICE) transferred them to the holding facility they were going to use in Oklahoma or Texas.
