Donald Trump has sued the New York Times in an amount of $15 billion.
Trump blasted New York Times, calling it “one of our country’s worst and most degenerate papers in history. It has become a virtual “mouthpiece for the Radical Left Democrat Party.”
He added: “They have been abusing me for a long time, with an INTENT that is illegal and unacceptable.” The New York Times has been able to defame, lie and smear me without any restraint for too long. This must stop NOW!
Today, I am honored to bring a $15 billion dollar Defamation and Libel Lawsuit Against The New York Times. This newspaper is one of the most degenerate and worst in our Country’s History. It has become a “mouthpiece” of the Radical Left Democrat Party. It is the largest illegal campaign contribution I have ever seen. The New York Times featured their endorsement of Kamala on the front cover, which was previously UNHEARD of! The Times has been lying for decades about your favorite president (ME)! I am PROUD to hold this once respected “rag” responsible, as we are doing with the Fake News Networks such as our successful litigation against George Slopadopoulos/ABC/Disney, and 60 Minutes/CBS/Paramount, who knew that they were falsely “smearing” me through a highly sophisticated system of document and visual alteration, which was, in effect, blatant defamation. I am PROUD to hold this once respected “rag” responsible, as we are doing with the Fake News Networks such as our successful litigation against George Slopadopoulos/ABC/Disney, and 60 Minutes/CBS/Paramount, who knew that they were falsely “smearing” me through a highly sophisticated system of document and visual alteration, which was, in effect, a malicious form of defamation, and thus, settled for record amounts. This long-term abuse was done with the INTENT to harm me. It is illegal and unacceptable. The New York Times has been able to defame, lie and smear me without any restraint for too long. This must stop NOW! The lawsuit is filed in Florida. We appreciate your attention. Make America great again!
Trump has recently sued other media companies.
Trump has filed a number of lawsuits for defamation against media outlets, accusing them falsely or misleadingly reporting the news.
In his post on Monday, Trump mentioned the suits he filed against ABC News, anchor George Stephanopoulos and Paramount for its 60 Minutes Interview with former presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Trump claimed that the interview was manipulated by the network to make it appear as if Harris had been elected president.
These cases resulted in settlements of $15 million and $16 millions, respectively.
Trump also filed a defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, claiming that its article linked him with the Epstein Note.
