Speaker Mike Johnson, and the Speaker of the Israeli Knesset Amir Ohana, are pushing Donald Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2026.
Mike Johnson said: “I am proud to announce, together with my friend, Speaker Ohana, of the Israeli Knesset (our Congress), that we are embarking on a joint project to rally Speakers, Presidents, and Prime Ministers from around the globe so that we can jointly nominate Donald J. Trump as the Nobel Peace Prize winner for next year. “No one has ever been more deserving of that prize, and that’s an objective fact.”
Speaker Johnson announced this morning during his daily press conference that he will join Israeli Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana to encourage Speakers and Presidents from around the globe to nominate President Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize 2026, following the successful liberation of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
Yesterday, Speaker Ohana made this announcement in an address to Israel’s Knesset.

“Today the world is still focused on Israel where President Trump welcomes home the last living hostage who has endured two years of Hamas captivity.
“I found it remarkable. I watched a video of one of the freed hostages last night who said that Hamas started treating him and his fellow prisoners much better as soon as November’s election in the United States was held. They treated them better. They respected them more.
“As he himself said, elections do have consequences. He said that Hamas wasn’t counting on President Donald J. Trump to win but rather Kamala Harris. But thankfully, this didn’t occur.
“This is an historic moment which deserves immense credit and recognition in the international arena. This is a truly, truly historical moment. Since generations, we’ve aspired for peace in the Middle East. Everybody in the world does. Now, President Trump has done it.
“I will make an announcement today. It’s the same announcement that was made yesterday in the Knesset in the U.S.
“I am proud to announce, together with my friend, Speaker Ohana, of the Israeli Knesset (our Congress), that we will embark on a joint project to rally Speakers, Presidents, and Prime Ministers from around the globe to nominate Donald J. Trump as the nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize next year. There has never been a person who deserved the Nobel Peace Prize more.
He noted that some Sages would agree with what Speaker Ohana had said yesterday before the Knesset.
“It is a fact that President Trump has saved lives and pursued peace with such determination and remarkable success.
“Under his leadership we are witnessing a dawn of a golden age not only for America but for the whole free world. These actions and leadership are changing the world. As we always say, American strength is good to free people all over the world. Peace is maintained through strength.
“There will more to say about this in the coming weeks, but today marks the beginning of the effort. I am honored to be doing it with our ally in Israel and my counterpart.”

“President Trump, You are the President for Peace. No one on earth has done more to promote peace than you.
“Your election as president marked a pivotal moment not only for America, but also for the world.
You brought to an end bloody conflicts across eight different regions of the world through your unwavering determination and strength of character. You became one of history’s most influential presidents in less than nine months. Your leadership saved many lives that otherwise would have been lost. As our Sages say, “Whoever saves a life is like saving an entire world.”
“You have shown that the only way to achieve true peace is through force. Only those who are willing to use force today can avoid the need for it in the future.
Mr. President, your efforts to promote peace are more important than anyone else’s.
“Therefore I announce that together with our friend, Speaker Mike Johnson, we are going to rally Speakers and presidents of parliaments around the world in order to nominate you for the Nobel Peace Prize. There is no one better deserving of it than you, Mr. Trump!”
