On Thursday, the Indiana Senate will vote on redistricting.
The expected time of arrival is close.
Republicans currently hold seven of nine seats in Indiana. The maps were drawn so that they would have all 9.
After months of intense pressure from Donald Trump, Indiana state senators will vote Thursday on a high-stakes redistricting issue. The outcome remains uncertain.
Despite the pressures from the White House, and the violent threats made against state legislators, many Indiana Republicans are reluctant to support a new map of the congressional district that would benefit their party’s candidate in the 2026 election.
Trump has asked Republican-led state to redistrict mid-decade, a practice that is uncommon, to create more seats for the GOP in advance of the elections next year. The midterm elections tend to favor the opposition party. After recent high-profile races, Democrats have a better chance of flipping the U.S. House.
Trump is in favor of Indiana’s new redistricting map, which was drawn by the National Republican Redistricting Trust. The map is designed to give the GOP control of all nine congressional districts. Republicans currently hold seven out of nine seats.
Donald Trump posted a message on Truth Social just before the election.
Trump said: “It is important that it has now a chance to change Washington, D.C. in regards to the number House seats necessary to maintain the Majority over the Radical Left Democrats.” Redistricting has been done in every other state, freely, easily, and openly.
Trump called out Indiana Senate leader Rod Bray, and said that he would be challenging those who vote against the bill.
Trump said: “Unfortunately Rod Bray, Indiana Senate “Leader”, enjoys being the sole person in America who opposes Republicans gaining extra seats. In Indiana’s instance, this is two. He is using every ounce to convince his very vulnerable friends to support him…Bray, his friends, and Crazy Nancy Pelosi are all favorites of Hakeem Jeffreys, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem. “Anyone who votes against Redistricting and the SUCCESSFUL of the Republican Party here in D.C. will, I’m sure, be met with a MAGA Primary this Spring.”
I have won the State of Indiana six times by massive majorities, including primaries. It is important to note that it has the chance to make a real difference in Washington, D.C., with regard to the number seats in the House we need to maintain the Majority over the Radical Left Democrats. Redistricting has been done in every other state, willingly, easily, and openly. It was clear to them that helping the Republicans win the Midterms was the right thing to do, both for their Party and the United States. Redistricting has been done by the Democrats for many years and continues to be done. Rod Bray, the “leader” of the Indiana Senate, is the only one in the United States of America that opposes Republicans gaining extra seats. In Indiana’s particular case, this means two. He’s using all of his strength to convince his friends, who will soon be vulnerable, to vote for him. In doing so, he puts the Majority of the House of Representatives, Washington, D.C., in danger, and anyone in Indiana who votes to oppose this redistricting, in danger as well. Indiana’s people don’t want to see the Party of Sleepy Joe Biden succeed in Washington. Bray isn’t bothered. He’s either an evil guy or very stupid! He and some of his friends are going to partner up with the Radical Left Democrats. They are thrilled to have found some Republican “SUCKERS”! Guys like Mitch Daniels (failed Senate candidate), who I ran against in his Race against Jim Banks and Cam Savage – whoever he is – are fighting the Republican Party from the beginning. Bray and friends are Hakeem Jeffreys, Crazy Nancy Pelosi and Cryin Chuck Schumer’s favorite Republicans. Anyone who votes against Redistricting and the SUCCESSFUL of the Republican Party, in D.C. will, I’m sure, be met with a MAGA Primary this spring. Republicans who refuse to do the necessary things to save our Country will ultimately lose all to Democrats. Rod Bray, his friends, will not be in politics for very long. I will do all that I can to ensure they don’t hurt the Republican Party and our Country again. Indiana, one of my favorite states, will be the lone state in the Union that turns down the Republican Party!
