Donald Trump has just filed a lawsuit against the BBC.
He has sued them for $10 billion.
A spokesperson for Trump stated, “The BBC, which was once respected, is now disgraced, defamed the President Trump, by maliciously and deliberately doctoring his speech, in an attempt to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election.” The BBC has been deceiving audiences in its coverage of President Trump for years, in order to further its leftist political agenda.
The President Donald Trump has filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation for their 2024 “Panorama”, which distorted his remarks from Jan. 6.
Trump has sued the BBC in Florida for defamation and a violation under Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. He is seeking a total of $10 billion. The lawsuit, filed at the Southern District of Florida Federal Court in an individual capacity, names BBC and BBC Studios productions as defendants.
“The BBC, once respected, is now disgraced for defaming President Trump through maliciously and deliberately doctoring his speech to try and interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election. BBC’s deception of its audience regarding President Trump is a pattern that it has followed for many years, and all to serve its leftist political agenda. The BBC is being held accountable by President Trump for defamation, reckless election interference and other wrongdoings in his powerhouse lawsuit.
The BBC apologized recently to Trump, and announced that it will not air the documentary Trump : A Second Chance.
The lawsuit notes that the documentary “Trump: a Second Chance” was edited so that it appeared that during Trump’s Jan. 6, 2021 speech outside the White House he had explicitly encouraged his supporters to attack U.S. Capitol.

Samir Shah, the BBC chairperson, recently apologized for a “mistake of judgement” in the editing of the story. The director general of the BBC and its head of news have both resigned.
The BBC apologized for showing the documentary on its platform on November 13 and said it would not be shown again.
The BBC expressed regret for the way the video clip had been edited but strongly disagreed that there was a basis to file a defamation suit.
