Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis’ appeal to Georgia Supreme Court was denied.
The Georgia Court of Appeals ruled in December that Fani willis was not allowed to prosecute Donald Trump.
She appealed and the Georgia Supreme Court refused to hear the case in a ruling of 4-3.
After losing an appeal in the Georgia’s highest court, Fani Willis will no longer be able to prosecute President Donald Trump on his election interference case.
In December, the Georgia Court of Appeals ruled that Willis’ office and Willis herself could no longer prosecute this case due to an “appearance of improperness” stemming her romantic relationship Nathan Wade.
Willis filed an appeal with the Georgia Supreme Court back in January. However, on Tuesday, the court turned down the case by a vote of 4-3. One judge was not present and another disqualified.
Donald Trump hailed the ruling as “a big win for Justice and Law” in Georgia.
Trump added that “this Unconstitutional Hoax in Georgia, along with the remaining Shams of New York should now be dead and buried for good, just like the purely legal, lawless and dismissed Witch Hunts carried out by Deranged Jack Smith and others through the Biden White House.”
