Talk show host Bill Maher has revealed that he has no room for conflict in his love life.
He was speaking to psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw on last weekend’s episode of the Club Random with Bill Maher podcast when the subject cropped up; his guest quizzing Maher on what an ideal woman looks like to him.
Deconstructing relationship dynamics in some people’s eyes, the podcaster, who has never been married, argued that he won’t “accept” the perceived reality of regular lovers’ tiffs.
McGraw counteractively asked him if he tries to avoid conflict during their chat.

In the final third of the episode, Maher jokingly stated that he’s attracted to women who don’t wish to walk down the aisle.
He also said: “What I’ve learned after having lived so many years, stupidly, is that the most important thing is—I mean, you can love a lot of different people for a lot of different reasons, but who’s right for you?”
Concerning the romantic advice he’s received over the years, Maher claimed it’s always been focused on the ways in which couples move on from domestic squabbles.
“I don’t accept that. I don’t want any fights, ever. No conflict,” he declared.
“So you’re conflict avoidant?” was Dr. Phil’s response.
“If I can be. I’m not avoiding it, it’s just not happening and there’s no reason why it should if two people just accept each other,” replied Maher. “You be you and I be me.”
Later, Maher flipped their discussion onto nagging guys.
“I’m like: ‘You know what I don’t do this with women, you think I’m gonna do this with you? You think I’m gonna do this with a guy?'” he said. “There’s no nagging in my life, there’s no pressure and there’s no jocking. I don’t know why people make life so complicated.”
The interview comes soon after Maher was spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles with Al Pacino’s ex-girlfriend Noor Alfallah. In pictures obtained by Page Six, the high-profile duo leisurely exited the iconic hotel in a black sedan shortly after midnight.
Alfallah, 30, was technically still together with the Oscar-winning actor, 84, at the time of the mysterious rendezvous, yet Maher and Pacino’s representatives were unavailable for comment when the aforementioned outlet approached them.
In other Pacino-related news, he recently told podcaster Conan O’Brien that filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola pulled him up on his portrayal of Michael Corleone in the early days of shooting The Godfather.
