A woman has documented a significantly less glam part of her wedding night—the feast when it’s all over.
A video posted to TikTok by Lonnie (@lonniegal) has gone viral after she revealed what she and her new husband got up to after checking into their hotel room post-wedding reception—room service.
Lonnie, 27, spoke to Newsweek about the viral moment, viewed by 2 million people, and how much she appreciated the moment after a day of pristine beauty.
“The only video I have from the hotel after our wedding,” Lonnie captioned the video, which shows her and her new husband eating club sandwiches in their hotel room. In a duplicate video she posted with a song laid over it, Lonnie captioned the video: “My favorite animal is my husband and I on our wedding night.”

Lonnie said that she and her husband fell into the common trap of not finding time to eat during the reception.
“Everyone told us to eat at our wedding, but of course we ended up just having too much fun drinking, dancing and spending time with our families and skipped dinner,” she said. “So, of course, when we got back to our room, my mother-in-law sent us room service and we munched and talked about how amazing the day was.”
The unfiltered moment was a hit with viewers, who commented on the video with congratulations and their own wishes for a similar wedding comedown. “My dream wedding night,” @kraazykoozie wrote.
Lonnie said they got married on the Greek island of Corfu, with 30 of their nearest and dearest around them.
Despite having big plans for a destination wedding away from their home in Washington D.C., the pair never actually saw the venue before arriving for the big day.
“We would have Zoom calls and meetings with the resort, but still did not know what to expect,” she said. “The place exceeded our expectations, and it was beautiful.”
The location is pretty famous for something else, too. The couple noticed while watching Love Is Blind U.K. that the resort the singles attend was their wedding venue.
“Good laugh, good times,” Lonnie said.
Now, Lonnie and her new husband are settling into married life after a whirlwind wedding.
“We definitely had the wedding blues after spending our summer in Europe, but we are happy for what is next to come,” Lonnie said. “Sharing food and having good cocktails is something my husband and I bond over, so we hope to make more content like that.”
