Capital One is currently working to resolve the technical issue which caused thousands of customers to report problems with direct deposit on Thursday.
DownDetector is an online service which tracks technical outages. As of Thursday morning more than 2,000 users had reported problems with Capital One Banking. By late afternoon, the problem had subsided slightly. Capital One users reported just under 1,700 outages as of 4:10 pm Eastern Time.
Some of us need to buy groceries and pay bills. One person wrote on social media that Capital One’s customer support account on X should “at least keep us informed.”
What is happening with business checking account? Another person told that the customer service had promised to fix everything in 2 hours. It’s now been 3 hours.
Capital One has apologized to customers for the problem. The bank told them in a social media post that it is “actively working” with the vendor on resolving the issue and restoring services.
