Fox News reported
Members of the “Squad” and other House Democrats criticized the United States at a Mexico City conference that questioned U.S. policies and influence. One lawmaker said she was more proud to be Guatemalan rather than American.
Leftist officials from North and South America attended the second annual Panamerican Congress. Ilhan Omar, Rashida tlaib, Ayanna presley, Summer Lee, Jesus Gilberto Garcia, and Delia Ramirez, all Democratic legislators, were among those in attendance.
…
Ramirez discussed her own ancestry and the crackdown on illegal immigration by the Trump administration during her opening remarks.
She declared in Spanish, “I am a proud Guatemalan first before I am an American.” She also accused the U.S. for prioritizing “imperialism” and “militarization, conquest, controls, competitions in its attempts at dominance.”
Ramirez is the daughter of immigrants. On her website she says that her husband Boris is living in the United States illegally. She also claims to be the only member of Congress “with a mixed status marriage and who fights for the rights DREAMers, like her husband Boris, as well as for comprehensive immigration reform.”
She was called out in social media.
“There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism…Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. We must pledge our allegiance to the United States. “We must condemn anyone who has any other allegiance.”

It shouldn’t even be controversial to remove her from office. You can’t represent the United States if you place a foreign country first. Period. https://t.co/d653Ask8ky
