Since the arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering on Tuesday, September 17, rapper Al B. Sure! made a post on Instagram that called on authorities to conduct an investigation surrounding the death of his ex-wife and mother of his son, Kim Porter.

In the caption, 56-year-old Al B. Sure! (whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown III), accused Diddy, 54, who is Kim Porter’s ex and the adoptive father of her son Quincy Brown, of being involved in her demise. “It is evident that her potential to expose the realities of her personal abuses, being drugged, the #SexTrafficking and #HumanTrafficking she was privy to, akin to the brave actions of Mrs. Cassie Ventura, posed a threat to those profiting from such heinous activities,” AL B. Sure! said in the post. A recently published book alleged to be a memoir constructed from Porter’s diary entries initially sparked the accusations and a response from Diddy and Porter’s children.

In the statement posted on Tuesday, September 24, Twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, 17, and their brothers Christian Combs, 26, and Quincy Brown, 33, begin by saying, “We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’s relationship, as well as about our mom’s tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out.” The kids’ message proceeds to dismiss all talk about their mother having written an autobiographical book, saying, “Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”

The “I’ll Be Missing You” singer’s children asked their followers to “please understand that any so-called ‘friends’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend. Nor do they have her best interests at heart.”

In the statement, the siblings also admit, “While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play.” They went on to explain, “Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day. We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives.”
