Dog Doesn’t Like The Dog Park, Proceeds To Walk Himself Home: ‘Upset’
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Going to the dog park is usually a highlight for most canines, but one pup has left the internet in hysterics with his dramatic reaction following a terrible experience.

TikTok user @thereallteeteee posted a hilarious clip showing the moment her pet stormed back home because “he didn’t like the dog park.” The poor dog, named Tank, was so angry about the experience that he didn’t even need to be walked back by his owner. The strong, independent dog was even happy to carry his own leash in his mouth the whole way home.

After the clip was posted on September 9, the dog’s sassy antics have left social media users in stitches. In just a day, the clip has gained over 2.2 million views and more than 488,700 likes on TikTok.

Newsweek has reached out to @thereallteeteee via Instagram for comment. We could not verify the details of the video.

Alongside the clip, the TikToker explained in a caption: “He was so upset, he decided to walk himself home.”

While this dog didn’t seem all that happy about going to the dog park, a walk is usually a very positive and healthy experience. Not only does it help with their weight and body condition to prevent obesity, but VCA Animal Hospitals adds that being mobile also helps their joints and digestive health.

Indeed, a dog can get plenty of physical exercise from their own backyard (especially when it comes to digging up their owner’s flowers), but that can’t provide them with all the mental stimulation they require. Going out for a walk can exercise their mind as much as their body as they meet new people, socialize with other pets, and take in new scents.

The amount of physical activity required will vary for each dog, depending on their breed and age, but VCA Animal Hospitals suggests that 30 minutes a day is a good target to strive for. It’s beneficial to keep the dog engaged by varying the routes and even adding in a game of fetch if possible.

Since Tank’s tantrum went viral on social media, his owner has shared more videos showing subsequent attempts to visit the dog park. However, he still isn’t keen on the idea, because in one follow-up video, the TikToker joked that “he still disapproves of the dog park” sadly.

With over 12,200 comments on the first video, TikTok users have hailed Tank for being so independent when he strutted back home, leash in tow. There’s no way he would accept anything less than he deserves, after all.

One comment on the viral post read: “He left with grace…very demure, very not going again.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “He didn’t even care if you stayed. All he knew is that he wasn’t.”

“The way he stopped for a second to make sure he was going the right way but still didn’t look back,” joked another person.

While another TikToker commented: “He stomped every step.”
