Fantasy Football Injury Updates: Justin Jefferson, Deebo Samuel, Cooper Kupp, and More
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The beginning of the 2024 NFL season has been overshadowed by injuries to star players.

Christian McCaffrey, Puka Nacua, A.J. Brown, Isiah Pacheco, Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, and Deebo Samuel are just some of the star offensive players who have suffered injuries early in the 2024 season.

These injuries have left fantasy managers to scramble in search of replacements as they look to get off to strong starts this season.

With all that being said, it’s important for fantasy owners to be up-to-date on the news regarding their star players. So, here’s all the latest updates on the top fantasy players who have suffered injuries early this season.

Christian McCaffrey Injury News

McCaffrey was placed on injured reserve ahead of Week 2 with his calf/Achilles injury. He will be out until Week 6 at the earliest.

Justin Jefferson Injury News

Jefferson left Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with a quad injury. After the game, he said he’ll be ready to go for Week 3 — and on Monday, Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell called him day-to-day. On Tuesday, O’Connell had another solid update on Jefferson via a radio interview with KFAN-FM 100.3.

“[Jefferson] is doing really well, he’s responded really well to treatment early on,” O’Connell said. “We’ll see how his week kind of progresses.”

Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury News

St. Brown missed the last five plays of the Detroit Lions’ Week 2 loss with what the team called a contusion and cramping. Head coach Dan Campbell said Brown was “all right,” and added he didn’t think it was a long-term issue.

A.J. Brown Injury News

Brown injured his hamstring last week in practice and told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he expects to miss “a couple of weeks” with the injury.

Puka Nacua Injury News

Nacua is dealing with a sprained PCL and was placed on IR. The earliest he could return is Week 7 after the Los Angeles Rams’ bye week.

Isiah Pacheco Injury News

Pacheco fractured his fibula and could miss upwards of two months. The Chiefs brought back veteran running back Kareem Hunt to their practice squad.

Cooper Kupp Injury News

Kupp injured his knee on Sunday and head coach Sean McVay said he will miss an “extended period of time.” He’s a candidate to go on IR.

Deebo Samuel Injury News

Samuel suffered a calf strain in Sunday’s loss and will miss “a couple of weeks,” per San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Tee Higgins Injury News

Higgins missed the Cincinnati Bengals’ first two games of the season with a hamstring injury. He made it known while speaking to ESPN that it’s a serious injury.

“I just don’t understand why fans think I’m faking an injury, when for me to get an extension for a contract, the deadline is over,” Higgins told ESPN. “I just don’t understand why they think I’m faking an injury. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Keenan Allen Injury News

Allen missed Week 2 with a heel injury that’s lingered since the end of the preseason. He was able to play in Week 1 but the Chicago Bears elected to rest him in Week 2.
