NFL teams are continuing to trim their rosters to 53 ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
While most teams are releasing and trading players, others are making decisions on their injured guys.

Players on the active/physically unable to perform list can be moved to the reserve/PUP list, which wouldn’t count them against a team’s active 53-man roster. However, players on the reserve/PUP list will have to miss the first four games of the season.
On Tuesday, a handful of teams made decisions on their injured stars, and many of them will be of importance to fantasy football owners.

1. T.J. Hockenson, TE, Minnesota Vikings
Hockenson will remain on the PUP list after suffering a torn ACL in Week 16 of last season. He’s expected to return this season, but his earliest potential return date would be Week 5 against the New York Jets in London.
The Vikings currently have Johnny Mundt listed as the starting tight end.
2. Jonathan Brooks, RB, Carolina Panthers
Brooks will also remain on the PUP list, meaning he won’t be eligible to return until Week 5 against the Chicago Bears. Brooks was the first running back selected in this year’s NFL Draft, but is coming off a torn ACL in November.
Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders will likely compete for the Panthers RB1 status.

3. Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns
Chubb is opening the season on the PUP list as he recovers from his season-ending knee injury in Week 2 of last season.
Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. are the other running backs in Cleveland.
4. Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams
Higbee is opening the season on the PUP list after suffering a torn ACL and MCL during the Rams’ playoff loss in January.
Colby Parkinson is listed as the starting tight end in Los Angeles.
5. Kendrick Bourne, WR, New England Patriots
Bourne is opening the season on the PUP list after suffering a torn ACL in Week 8 of last season.
6. Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens
The second-year running back will miss at least the first month of the season after being placed on the PUP list. He suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 of last season.
7. Kendre Miller, RB, New Orleans Saints
The young Saints running back is expected to start the season on the injured reserve, meaning he’ll miss at least the first four games of the season. He suffered a hamstring injury in the first practice of training camp.
