Nabers has been dynamic in the four games he appeared in. He has secured 386 yards and three touchdowns. The young rookie experienced his second-best game this season in Week 4, pulling down 12 receptions for 115 yards.
Nabers could have easily added more yards had he not been knocked out of the game. The good news is that he has gone through concussion protocol and is ready to rejoin the Giants.
The Giants have had an up-and-down type of season. They are currently 2-4 but have pulled off an upset win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. Their loss to the Bengals in Week 6 might propel the team to fight even harder to upset the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Darius Slayton has stepped up in Nabers’ absence, and though he is also dealing with an injury — Slayton should be good to go as well. Slayton and Nabers together create a one-two punch that will make defenses think even more.
Nabers is also the WR1 for the Giants, and his return should do wonders for the offense. dropping only seven points against the Bengals might be a fluke. Daniel Jones will now have his best playmakers available on Sunday and the offense could be humming once again.
Nabers was drafted by the Giants No. 6 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Instead of taking a quarterback, the Giants chose to stick with Jones and add another playmaker.
Though Nabers had not played a snap at the professional level, his hype was strong. So far, Nabers has proven his worth through four games. Hopefully, this is the last injury he will face in 2024.
