A golden retriever wearing a cone after a vet visit has gone viral on social media after his own brother bullied him for it—and his owner caught the scene on camera.
The hilarious video, shared on TikTok in August under the username @livving.dead.girl, shows the pup struggling to walk around the room with a giant cone on his neck. His brother, clearly amused by the situation, hits him on the back, as if to make fun of his situation.
But the pup wearing the cone is not amused, and barks back at him, signaling to stop. The poster also intervenes. “Stop hitting your brother,” she says.
A caption shared along with the viral clip says: “When you’re not only stuck in a cone but your brother bullies you for it.”

From the hilarious video, it looks like the pup was making fun of his brother for wearing a cone, which indicates that the two dogs have a friendship relationship. But can dogs actually form true friendships with other dogs?
As previously explained by Psychology Today, scientists are still divided on this issue. Some scientists believe that while dogs can appear to be to faithful and devoted to one another, such friendship is not possible.
They believe that because their ancestors, wolves, live in a societal structure more similar to that of co-workers who work together toward similar goals while having their own ambitions to get ahead of everyone else, so do dogs.
However, other scientists disregard this theory, in light of all the beautiful friendship stories that have recently come up on social media in the last few years, and the fact that a dog who is properly socialize will befriend about anything.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 3.5 million views and 684,100 likes on the platform.
One user, The Plug Drink, commented: “I swear golden retrievers only pretend to be innocent breeds.”
LuluBelle said: “Wait ’til he figures out the cone doubles as a weapon of chaos and terror.”
Spooky Sadie added: “I love how dogs get embarrassed and ‘bully’ each other like that.”
