James Comer, chairman of the GOP House Oversight Committee, threatened Bill and Hillary Clinton by bringing contempt proceedings against them.
Comer stated, “It’s been over four months since Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton were summoned to give depositions in connection with our investigation of Jeffrey Epstein’s and Ghislaine Maxiwell’s horrendous crimes.”
The Oversight Committee also said, “If they fail to appear at their depositions scheduled for next week, or even schedule one for early January, we will start contempt proceedings against them.”
James Comer, the chairman of the GOP House Oversight Committee, said that he intends to initiate contempt proceedings against Hillary and Bill Clinton for refusing to comply with the subpoenas issued by the committee in connection with its ongoing investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal.
In July, the bipartisan House Oversight Subcommittee passed motions to subpoena Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and other prominent political figures in order to assist its investigation into how federal authorities handled Epstein’s case of sex-trafficking.
…
Bill and Hillary Clinton have been subpoenaed for more than four month to give depositions in our investigation of the horrific crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxiwell. The former president and secretary of state delayed, obstructed and ignored the staff’s attempts to schedule their testimony for the past four months,” Comer stated in a Friday evening press release.
If the Clintons do not appear at their depositions scheduled for next week, or if they fail to schedule one for early January the Oversight Committee may begin proceedings for contempt of Congress to hold them responsible.
Amidst the pile of Epstein pictures was a photo signed by Bill Clinton, smiling with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxiwell.
His warning came Friday after the committee released photos of the estate belonging to the late convicted child sex offender. One photo showed the former president smiling with Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxiwell, who was sentenced to 20 years for her part in the operation.
