After the New York Jets lost to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed that he has a low-ankle sprain. Rodgers didn’t look particularly good in the game against Minnesota and it cost the team.

He threw three interceptions, along with throwing for 244 yards with two touchdowns. But this new injury was the only thing on the mind of the Jets staff after the fact.

However, head coach Robert Salah confirmed this morning that the injury isn’t too serious.

“All the preliminary stuff says he’ll be fine.”

This injury update is a sigh of relief for the entire Jets organization. Without Rodgers, they have very little chance of competing this season.

Even with Rodgers on the field, New York has struggled to find any sort of consistency, especially on the offensive end of the field. New York has beaten two of the worst teams in the NFL for their wins but it hasn’t been pretty in the process.

After the game against Minnesota, Rodgers weighed in on it all.

“Our D played great. They kept us in the game, but we need to be playing from the lead, so we’ve got to start faster. We say it every week. What’s the magic recipe – we’re gonna go spend some time this week trying to figure that out.”

The veteran quarterback wasn’t the only one who was upset after another loss. Star defender Quincy Williams showed his frustration for the second straight defeat.

“Taking accountability from the top to bottom, that’s the main thing,” Williams told Jeane Coakley of SNY. “People got to start taking accountability. People are getting tired of hearing the same thing.”

Star wide receiver Garrett Wilson also echoed the same sentiment as his other teammates.

“We need to find a way to win,” Wilson said. “At the end of the day, it ain’t about me and him getting on the same page… we gotta win games… The ultimate goal is winning, whatever it takes to get there.”

What the Jets say and how they’ve been performing are two different stories entirely. New York hasn’t looked like the team that many believed they could be this season.

At this point, they sit with a record of 2-3 on the year. Three of their next four games are against tougher opponents, putting the Jets in a crucial spot.

If this team can’t find a way to stack up some wins soon, it could be another lost season in New York.
