Letitia Jim, the New York Attorney-General, is now under investigation.
Letita’s payments to her long-time hairdresser are being investigated.
The New York Times, CBS News and The New York Times reported that federal prosecutors opened a new probe into New York Attorney-General Letitia James. They are examining the campaign payments she made to her hairdresser, who has been with her for many years, during her successful 2018 election campaign.
On Sunday night, President Donald Trump shared a New York Post article on Truth Social as he was returning to Joint Base Andrews from a Mar-a-Lago weekend in Palm Beach, Florida.
The investigation focuses on approximately $36,000 that James’ campaign paid to Iyesata Marsh from May 2018 until February 2019. Around $22,000 was paid to Marsh for the use of her Brooklyn salon in the last months of the campaign.

Marsh was indicted in Louisiana last month on federal charges for bank fraud and aggravated identitiy theft. The charges were tied to a alleged use another person’s identitiy to obtain a Land Rover loan.
Letitia James was indicted by a grand jury last year.
A federal judge ruled that Lindsey Halligan had been appointed unlawfully.
Last fall, a grand jury in Virginia’s Eastern District indicted James on charges that she defrauded financial institutions to get a lower interest rate for a Norfolk property she bought.
In November, a federal court ruled that Lindsey Halligan was illegally appointed as the U.S. Attorney who secured the sole indictment.
Halligan was disqualified by the Justice Department after it tried twice to indict her but failed.
No one is above law.
