Multiple MAGA supporters have accused Kamala Harris of speaking in a different accent for two speeches delivered just a few hours apart.
Videos were shared online of the vice president speaking in Detroit and Pittsburgh during campaign events on Labor Day on Monday.
Trump War Room, an official campaign account, was one of several to post two side-by-side clips of Harris, in which she says: “You better thank a union member for sick leave, you better thank a union member for paid leave, you better thank a union member for vacation time.”
The post on X, formerly Twitter, was captioned: “Kamala Harris delivers the same exact line in a speech earlier today in Detroit and again in Pittsburgh a few hours later. Let’s see if you can spot the difference…”

Similarly, conservative media commentator Greg Price said: “Kamala Harris speaking in Detroit earlier today vs Pittsburgh a few hours later. Same speech. Two entirely different accents. She’s the fakest human being that has ever lived.”
Internet personality Dom Lucre accused Harris of changing her accent for Black people.
He said: “Kamala Harris has been caught changing her accent for Black people after she delivered the same exact line in a speech earlier today in Detroit with a southern Black accent and again in Pittsburgh with her regular accent a few hours later.”

Meanwhile, Trump campaign advisor Alex Bruesewitz posted a different part of Harris’ speech in Detroit, showing her saying: “Let’s just get through the next 64 days how ’bout that?”
Bruesewitz shared it next to a clip of her speaking in Pittsburgh, saying: “So friends, 64 days until the most…election of our lives.”
Omg listen to how Kamala Harris says “64 days” in Detroit vs. how she says it in Pittsburgh just a couple hours apart..

Newsweek has contacted the Harris campaign outside of normal working hours for comment.
It comes after a scandal over Donald Trump saying Harris “happened to turn Black” for political gain during an appearance with the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago in July.
Responding to an interview question as to whether he agreed with Capitol Hill Republicans that Harris was a diversity, equity and inclusion hire, the former president said: “She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?”
Trump added: “I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went—she became a Black person. I think somebody should look into that too.”
Harris responded in a CNN interview last month, when Dana Bash asked her about the comment.
Shaking her head, Harris said: “Same old tired playbook. Next question please.”
