A White House spokesperson said on Thursday that President Donald Trump will soon be visiting Pennsylvania to promote his economic agenda in advance of the midterm elections scheduled for 2026.
The spokesperson confirmed that the president would be visiting Pennsylvania to discuss the ways in which he and his administration will continue to work to achieve the Day One Priority of ending the inflation crisis caused by [former President] Joe Biden.
Multiple media outlets reported on Tuesday that Trump would stop in Pennsylvania to begin a national tour. Meanwhile, the media and his political opponents continue to push the narrative that Trump is facing backlash because he prioritizes global issues above their economic concerns.
Axios reported that Trump may hold another event in this month after his appearance in Pennsylvania. After New Year’s Day, additional events are expected.
The United States outperformed expectations in the second quarter with a growth rate of 3%.
According to Commerce Department figures released on Wednesday, the U.S. economic growth under President Donald Trump surpassed expectations. It grew by an annualized three percent rate in the second quarter.
The Commerce Department’s report revealed that the American economy as measured by Gross domestic product (GDP) made gains between April and June. GDP is the measure of a basket and measures growth in all areas of the U.S. Economy.
The three percent figure is higher than the Dow Jones estimate of 2.3 percent, and it reverses the 0.5 percent drop experienced in the first quarter.
Heather Long, chief economist of Navy Federal Credit Union said: “The word for the summer is resilient. The consumer is still hanging on, but is still on edge, until the trade agreements are done.”
