The Detroit Lions might be the most loved team among general NFL fans entering the 2024 season. After reaching the NFC Championship Game a season ago, Detroit has only built upon its strong roster.

Another year with starting quarterback Jared Goff also means the offense should run fairly smoothly. Additionally, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson stayed with the team this offseason instead of leaving for a potential head coaching role.
Star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will be looking to continue where he left off and build upon his emergence in the league. He put up 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 scores last season.
The continuity of the Lions has many buzzing about the overall potential of the organization. After breaking their long playoff win drought last season, Detroit is primed to be one of the better teams in the entire NFL again.
Lions general manager Brad Holmes didn’t mince his words when asked what the expectations were for the upcoming season.
“For this season? Win the Super Bowl,” he said via The Associated Press.
Needless to say, these aren’t your father’s Detroit Lions.

Detroit is in a new era of football and they have a winning window to reach their ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl. For decades, the idea of the Lions even coming to even just making the Super Bowl was comical.
But now they feel like they have as good of a chance as any team in the NFL this season but it’s about executing the plan that they have put into place.
“We’ve kept our approach and our process very consistent in terms of how we build it, the opportunities that we provide players, and that’s what gives us confidence,” Holmes said. “We’ve been saying it since Day 1, we want to get better every single year and we’ve done that, and we plan to continue to do that.”
Head coach Dan Campbell has turned the team around completely with his energetic personality. He has built up the trenches on both sides of the ball, creating a hard-nosed football team in the process.
The NFC possesses many good teams such as the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, and more. But Detroit is out to prove that they are the cream of the crop as the new year gets going.
