Donald Trump has announced that taxpayer funds will no longer be allocated to California’s high speed rail project.

Trump said that the project was “severely overpriced, overregulated, and never delivered.”

He added: “This boondoggle led by the incompetent governor of California, Gavin Newscum has cost Taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars, and we’ve received NOTHING but Cost Overruns in return.”

Truth Social:

The Taxpayers of America who are hardworking, law abiding and tax paying have been relieved of funding California’s horribly overpriced “HIGH-SPEED TRAIN TO NOWHERE”. This boondoggle was led by incompetent California Governor Gavin Newscum. Taxpayers have paid hundreds of billions of dollars for this project, but we have received nothing in return, except cost overruns. We have never seen the railroad we were promised. This project was a colossal waste of money, overregulated and never delivered. Thanks to Sean Duffy as Transportation Secretary, Federal Dollars won’t be spent on this Newscum SCAM again. This project was ill-conceived, unnecessary and a waste of taxpayer money. But not anymore!

Voters approved the project in 2008. It was expected to be operational by 2020.

By 2025, there will be no track laid and it will cost more than $100 billion.

ABC 10 reported

In 2008, under Republican Governor George W. Bush, voters first approved $10 billion in borrowing funds. Arnold Schwarzenegger promised to pay for about a third estimated cost and that the train would run by 2020.

Five years after the deadline, there are still no tracks and it is estimated that its cost has risen to more than $100 billion.

The high-speed rail project was scrutinized for years, but it intensified in early February after Trump requested an investigation.

Trump stated at the time that the train project between Los Angeles to San Francisco was the worst-managed project he had ever seen.

The Trump administration has made a great decision!
