The multi-agency taskforce of the Trump administration seized almost 378 millions lethal doses.
The cartels were denied $11.34 billion worth of revenue after a total of 1 million pounds of coca was seized.
The multi-agency taskforce in Florida has seized a record 1 million pounds of coca during the fiscal year 2025. This haul, officials claim, is equivalent to 378 millions lethal doses — enough to kill each American.
Joint Inter-Agency Task Force – South, led by U.S. Southern Command Southcom (SOUTHCOM), announced the seizure. The unit, including the U.S. Coast Guard and other partner nations, works to disrupt illicit drug flows through the “transit zones” between South America Central America and Caribbean, and to weaken criminal transnational organizations.
The task force estimates that the amount of drugs confiscated over the last 12 months would fill 42 dump trucks. The fiscal year 2025 ends on Tuesday.
JIATF confirmed to Fox News Digital the efforts have prevented cartels and terrorists from generating $11.34 billion and taken 377,9 million lethal dosages off the streets.
The Trump administration has taken action against cartels.
The government began to strike alleged drug-ships.
These record-breaking seizures came after President Donald Trump began directly attacking the drug cartels, by striking alleged ships that tried to sneak illicit drugs in the U.S. The administration has justified the strikes, claiming other attempts to stop the illicit flow of drugs such as fentanyl or cocaine into the U.S. have failed.
