He sent out a second message in which he and everyone associated with the Office of the Presidency stood with the National Guard and our Military and Law Enforcement.

On Wednesday, two National Guardsmen have been shot in Washington DC.

According to a law enforcement officer and a source who is familiar with early reports, the shooting took place in Washington, DC on Wednesday.
DC Metropolitan Police stated on X, that the scene was secure and a suspect is in custody. They warned people to stay away from the area.
Requests for comments from the National Guard were not immediately responded to. It is not clear what happened.
