Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to review its verdict in the E. Jean Carroll Case.
Donald Trump, the US President, asked on Monday the US Supreme Court for a review of the $5 million civil suit that found he sexually abused magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll and defamed her.

Trump claims that Judge Lewis Kaplan who presided over the civil trial made numerous mistakes by allowing two women to testify about Trump sexually abusing them in the past.
In a Supreme Court Petition Trump states, “Carroll waited for more than 20 years before falsely accusing Donald Trump, whom she opposes politically, until after he was elected the 45th president, when she had the opportunity to maximize political injury and profit to herself.”
Trump’s 33 page Supreme Court petition describes Carroll’s allegations of sexual assault as “facially unreliable, politically motivated accusations” and urges justices to intervene to reverse several evidentiary decisions over claims that it tainted trial.

The petition states that “Carroll waited for more than 20 years before falsely accusing Donald Trump, whom she opposes politically, after he was elected 45th President. This allowed her to maximize the political injury and profit to him, as well as to herself.”
Trump claims that the jury saw the infamous “Access Hollywood’ tape improperly and other women’s testimony accusing Trump of sexual abuse, which he denies.
The introduction of the tape was described by Trump’s attorneys as “prejudicial and solely improper”.
