Trump made this statement after Biden appointed Fed Governor Adriana Kulgler resigned.

Trump can now fill the vacancy left by Adriana Kugler’s resignation.
Her term is set to expire in 2026.
The Federal Reserve Board of Governors member who announced her resignation on Friday, several months ahead of the term’s end, gave President Donald Trump the opportunity to fill the vacancy early.
Adriana Kugler, Fed Governor, is retiring from her position with effect August 8, 2018. Former President Joe Biden appointed her in 2023, and she was scheduled to finish her term in January 2026.

Kugler stated in a press release that it was an honor of a life time to serve as a member of the Board of Governors of Federal Reserve System. Kugler said, “I’m especially honored to have served at a time when we were able to achieve our dual mandate: bringing prices down and maintaining a strong, resilient labor market.”
