Donald Trump didn’t hold back when it came to the New York Times.
Trump wrote in a blog post: “Despite this, The New York Times and others like to pretend that i am “slowing down,” am perhaps not as sharp or in poor physical condition as I was in the past, knowing it isn’t true and that i work very hard. I probably work harder than ive ever worked before. I’ll know when I “slow down,” but not now!
He added: “I believe that it is seditious and perhaps even treasonous for The New York Times and others to do FAKE news in order to defame and libel “THE President of the United States.”
I have never worked harder than any other President! My results are excellent and my hours are long. I have stopped eight wars, saving millions of lives, built our Military, implemented the largest tax cuts and regulation cuts ever, closed our dangerous and open Southern Border when previous administrations couldn’t do it, and created a “aura” that has made every country in the world respect the United States of America more than they did before. To top it all off, I have done a series of long, boring, and thorough Medical Exams at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. All of the doctors have given me perfect marks. Some even stated that they had never seen such strong results. These Tests are something I have to do for my Country. I did not only take the Medical Examination but also a Cognitive Examination. This is something no President had ever done before. Many Presidents decided to not take the Exam because few people are able to “ace”, and most of them do poorly. The New York Times and others like to pretend, despite all this time and effort, that I’m “slowing down,” that I may not be as sharp as I used to be, or that I have poor physical health. I know that is not true and that I work hard, perhaps harder than ever before. It’s not yet! I will be able to tell when I “slow down” but I won’t know until later. The New York Times and others are treasonous for their FAKE news reports to slander and defame “THE PRESIDENT” of the United States. They are the true enemies of the people and we need to do something. The New York Times has reported incorrectly on my election results and was forced to apologize for much of what they said. The New York Times should cease publication. They are a terrible, biased and untruthful source of information. I appreciate your attention on this issue. Make America great again!
Trump responded to a New York Times opinion piece.
In an article published on Monday, opinion writer Frank Bruni examined the health of the 79-year old president: “His approval rating has declined in recent month, and, from the look of things, so has his vigor.”
…
Bruni compared the scrutiny of Trump’s fitness to the concerns about former president Joe Biden’s fitness at the end of his tenure, when he turned 82.
