Donald Trump criticized Zohran Mamdani on Monday in a Facebook post.
Trump wrote that Zohran Mamdani will have “problems with Washington” like no other mayor in the history our once great city. Remember that he will need the money I give him as President to fulfill his FAKE Communist promise. “He won’t get any of it so what’s his point in voting for him?”
Mamdani, he said, would be “one the greatest things that has ever happened to our great Republican Party.”
Breaking: President Trump has said that communist Muslim Zohran Mahdani will receive ZERO dollars for his NYC programs.

Zohran Mamdani – a self-declared New York City Communist who is running as Mayor – will prove to us to be the best thing that ever happened to our great Republican Party. He will have more problems with Washington than any other Mayor in our City’s history. Remember that he will need the money I give him as President to fulfill his FAKE Communist promise. What’s the use of voting for him if he won’t get any money? Since thousands of years, this ideology has always failed. This ideology will fail again and that is guaranteed! President DJT
On Sunday, New York City mayor Eric Adams stepped down from the race.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced on Sunday that he will not run for reelection as a third party candidate. This narrows the field of candidates for November’s elections.
Adams stated in a video posted on X that despite all the work we have done, I am unable to continue my reelection campaign. The constant speculation in the media about my future, and the decision by the campaign finance board to withhold millions of dollar have made it difficult for me to raise funds to run a serious campaign.
…
It’s now up to us how Adams’ decision will affect the race for mayor in America’s largest city.
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who is running a third party bid for mayor and also runs a campaign, told NBC News in a first-hand statement that he believed Adams was “sincere” in putting New York City’s well-being ahead of his own ambition.
