Donald Trump has just achieved a major victory in court.
The Pulitzer Prize Board tried to stop the case proceedings until Trump’s tenure was over. The court rejected it.
The court stated, “We reject the petition and affirm trial court’s orders.”
A Sunshine State court ruled in favor of President Donald Trump on Wednesday in his ongoing lawsuit for defamation against the Pulitzer Prize Board.
The board decided to temporarily suspend proceedings in January until the current terms of the 45th and the 47th presidents are complete. This was after a failed bid in front of the trial court.
Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal dismissed these dilatory attempts out of hand in a seven-page decision.
The court wrote: “They argue that a stay will avoid constitutional conflicts that could arise from allowing Trump to proceed in civil actions brought by state courts on claims involving his conduct as President.” “[W]e reject the petition and affirm trial court’s decision.”
Trump hailed the decision, saying: “In a major WIN for our powerful lawsuit against Pulitzer Prize Board in regards to the illegal and defamatory award of their once highly regarded “Prize” to fake, malicious articles on the Russia Russia Russia Hoax by the Failing Washington Compost and the Failing NY Times, the Florida Appellate Court fiercely rejected the Defendants corrupt attempt to stop the case.”
He added: “We will hold the Fake Media accountable for their LIES against the American People so that we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT Again together!”
