Donald Trump has called on foreign investors to respect US Immigration law when investing in the United States.

Trump wrote: “Following Immigration Enforcement Operation at the Hyundai Battery Factory in Georgia, I’m hereby calling upon all Foreign Companies that invest in the United States, to please respect the Immigration Laws of our Nation.”

Truth Social:

After the Immigration Enforcement Operation at the Hyundai Battery plant in Georgia, I’m calling on all Foreign Companies that invest in the United States please to respect our nation’s Immigration Laws. We welcome your investment and encourage you to bring in highly-skilled technical people to help build world-class products. We will legally and quickly make this possible. We ask that you train and hire American Workers in return. Together, we’ll work to make America more productive and united than ever. I appreciate your attention on this issue! Thank you for your attention to this matter!

In the raid at the Hyundai plant, 475 people were detained – the majority of whom were from South Korea.

The South Korean government has reached an agreement with the United States in order to release the workers.

The South Korean president Lee Jae Myung announced that a charter plan will be sent to the workers in order to bring them to South Korea.

Fox News reported

The South Korean government reached an agreement with the U.S. in order to release hundreds of detained migrant workers at a Hyundai auto factory in Georgia.

Homeland Security Investigations reported that 475 illegal immigrants, mostly from South Korea were arrested in connection with the battery plant under construction. Hyundai claims that none of the employees were employed directly by the company.

The office of President Lee Jae Myung says that the country will be sending a charter aircraft to bring back the workers to South Korea within the next few days.

Last week, the South Korean Foreign Ministry released a statement to express its “concern” and “regret” about the raid.

The Trump administration ensures that America’s immigration law is respected.
