Catelyn Baltierra is letting her pain be known, publicly sharing dozens of texts that she had sent — seemingly unanswered — to biological daughter Carly’s parents.
The Teen Mom star — who placed Carly, now 15, for adoption when she and now-husband Tyler Baltierra were just teenagers themselves — took to her Instagram Story on Monday, September 9, to share a screen recording that featured months’ worth of texts sent to Brandon and Teresa Davis, Carly’s adoptive parents. (The Davises and the Baltierras, who agreed to an open adoption in 2009, have long been at odds — with Catelynn and Tyler frequently calling out Brandon and Teresa for perceived unfair treatment as Carly’s birth parents.)

The texts all appeared to be sent from Catelynn’s phone to Carly’s adoptive mom. While the first message appeared to be directed to Teresa — with Catelynn hoping that Carly “loved her purse and wallet” —the rest of the texts are all addressed directly to Carly herself. Through the months of July, August and September, Catelynn repeatedly sent messages to Carly (via Teresa’s phone), sharing updates and photos of her summer plans with Tyler and Carly’s biological sisters. (Catelynn and Tyler, who wed in 2015, share three more daughters together: Nova, 9, Vaeda, 5, and Rya, 3.)
“Literally ignored for months then just blocked,” Catelynn wrote over the screen recording of the texts. “Hurts my heart for all the kids involved.”

“Adoption is crazy … I’m blocked all because I’m sending pictures of her sisters … how is that fair for Carly and her siblings?” she continued in a series of lengthy posts on her instagram Story. “When you’re a bio mom you have no say.. no control … all I can do is show Carly in the future how much i tried and continued to do so … she can make the decision herself to understand who shut her out.”
The MTV alum continued to express her hurt. “I gave them one of my biggest gifts ever… a child I grew and love so deeply,” she wrote. “I will not let them take my voice… I post so that hopefully Carly will see it and see I have always tried.”
Catelynn added that she feels like the Davises view her as “just a womb to give a child,” surmising that Brandon and Teresa “feel scared/threatened because Carly would ask questions about why don’t we get together more, why we can’t just fly to her for a weekend, etc.”
Though she noted she will “ALWAYS support Carly loving her parents! They love her and raised her!” Catelynn also claimed “the fact that they keep us distant and Carly’s siblings distant does not help Carly!”
