Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and global icon Taylor Swift have been dating for over a year, indicating the relationship is very serious. Just about everybody has given their opinion on the couple, specifically on if and when Kelce and Swift will get married.

Country star Blake Shelton was the latest to do so on the Pat McAfee Show Thursday.
As soon as Kelce and the “Karma” singer were spotted together, rumors swirled that the relationship was a publicity stunt.

“A lot of people thought it was fake,” McAfee said. “I thought from the beginning though [their] personality traits seemed to be a good match. Travis Kelce, tight end, not a quarterback. He’s OK with being behind Patrick Mahomes whenever they’re walking on a red carpet. So Taylor Swift, I assume, had to deal with a lot of dudes that weren’t necessarily happy to be in the shadow of Taylor Swift. Travis Kelce is cool with that.”
Both stars are at the top of their game in their respective careers, therefore the rumors didn’t have much legitimacy.
A year later, the celebrity couple is still going strong. Swift even gave a shoutout to Kelce in her speech at the VMAs.
Shelton is married to pop princess Gwen Stefani. The pair also received similar accusations when they were first romantically linked.
“Because it makes perfect sense to marry somebody to try and promote your career,” Shelton sarcastically said. “There was plenty of [speculation].”
Shelton heaped high praise for the Kansas City tight end.
“He’s a standout no matter where he is or what he’s doing. He’s got this big personality, funny guy. He walks into the room and he has a presence there. There’s never going to be a moment where he’s in the shadows anyway just because of his charisma and personality. He just kind of owns the moment, whatever that is.”
The mega superstar clearly sees the same in Kelce as she’s immersed herself into the world of football. Swift has become such a big fan of football that she started drawing up plays for the Chiefs to use this season.
McAfee asked the country star whether he believed in Kelce and Swift’s relationship. Shelton answered with the phrase that many fans hope the celebrity couple will say to each other soon.
“I do,” Shelton replied.
