A woman online has a very early morning routine—and people are not happy about it.
A video on Instagram posted by Angela Campos (@angelaxsantanaa) has gone viral after she shared her habit of waking up every day at 4:00 a.m. to make lunch for her husband. Since the video was posted, it has received over 10.6 million views and 555,000 likes. Campos, 24, spoke to Newsweek about the reactions she has been getting online and why this act of care is important to her.
“4:00 AM, let’s pack my husband’s lunch,” she captioned the video.

Campos has posted other videos of her acts of service for her family on her Instagram page—including making dinner for her husband and surprising her daughter with her “dream” bedroom. It’s clear not everyone has been supportive, though, because in her recent video, Campos responded to hateful comments. “Misery loves company, and at this point, I just feel like people are projecting,” she said in the video.
Campos told Newsweek that for her, feeding her husband is something that comes naturally.
“Making my husband’s lunch so early is a part of my role as a homemaker,” she said. “It’s also just my way of showing my love and appreciation towards him.”
In response to some comments wondering why she didn’t just pack the lunch or make the coffee the evening before, Campos had her particular reasoning. “Of course, I could pack it all the night before, but I love to wake up with my husband and prep his breakfast and lunch the day of,” she said. “Since I wake up with him, it also gives us some alone time which is important in a marriage.”
And the efforts are—despite what some may speculate—reciprocated. Campos said her husband goes “above and beyond” in his relationship with her, and as a father to her daughter.
“Not only does he provide financially, but he also helps with other responsibilities,” she said. “He actively helps me with house chores and never fails to make me laugh. He always supports any of my crazy ideas and helps me accomplish them.
“My husband spends quality time with my daughter and I no matter how tired he is. And he is so patient with us. He truly is my best friend and understands me better than anyone.”
In response to anyone who might think otherwise, Campos said she is not concerned about the way people perceive her relationship—she believes it’s most likely a result of their own experiences.
“Kill them with kindness is what I always say,” she said. “People who leave me hate are probably bitter or have never experienced a relationship like this. I wish people would see that this is a form of showing love towards your significant other. That when you are in a healthy and loving relationship, you take care of your partner.”
