Woman Gets Ready for Night Out ‘Last Minute’, Then Realizes Her Mistake
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A woman has left the internet in stitches after a beauty blunder she shared on TikTok went viral.

Shelle, who posts under the username @babeshelle, headed out, but forgot to remove her hair roller, leaving it dangling in her bangs. The relatable mishap has since gained over 1.3 million views and 104,500 likes.

In the now-viral video, Shelle walks briskly down a busy street, roller proudly on display, as she hurries to meet friends for dinner. She captioned the clip with an amusing observation: “Hot girls don’t have short memory and forget to get ready until the very last minute but can remember what he said 3 years ago.”

But the hilarity didn’t stop there. Shelle continued to wear the roller throughout dinner, even while munching on dumplings.

Finally, one of her friends intervened, kindly reaching over to remove the roller and reveal a perfectly styled set of curtain bangs. Shelle used the caption: “Hot girls do everything last minute.”

The incident sparked a conversation among viewers about the familiar experience of being in a rush and forgetting little details.

Curtain bangs, which have seen a resurgence in popularity, can be styled effortlessly with rollers to add volume and frame the face.

The best way to get the look is to first wash and towel-dry your hair, then blow-dry your bangs and secure them with a roller.

Allow the roller to set while finishing up the rest of your hair, and voilà—curtain bangs that look effortlessly chic .In Shelle’s case, even the slipup resulted in flawlessly styled bangs.

Her caption, referencing how women tend to remember what was said long ago, isn’t just for laughs, either.

Research indicates that women generally have better episodic memory than men, partially due to hormones that influence memory recall .

This means that women may not only remember what was said during a three-year-old conversation, but also the emotions they felt at that moment. These differences in memory can even play out in daily life, where women often recall small details that others might overlook.

So, while Shelle might forget a hair roller, she’s likely to remember an old conversation with crystal clarity.

Fans of the video couldn’t get enough of the blunder, filling the comments with support and laughs. “The bangs were banging!” wrote one viewer, Hayley. May added: “The way my bf never tells me…” And another commenter quipped: “I’m afraid that is short-term memory lol.”
