For a long time, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio were the best act in professional wrestling.
A part of the Judgement Day faction, Ripley and Dom served as the queen and prince of the group, with Ripley remaining massively popular due to her fantastic look and powerhouse in-ring style.
Meanwhile, Dirty Dom is on the opposite end of the scale, so hated that he often has to wait through minutes of audience boos before he can speak.
Together, they made a delightful odd couple that you couldn’t help but root for.
It was only a matter of time before he turned on her.

Mysterio turned on Ripley at SummerSlam in order to help her rival Liv Morgan retain the WWE Women’s World Championship.
Similarly, the rest of Judgement Day turned on fellow member Damian Priest, costing him his WWE Heavyweight Championship against GUNTHER in the same event.
Now dubbed the Terror Twins, Ripley and Priest got their revenge against Mysterio and Morgan at Bash in Berlin, defeating them in a mixed tag match.
Still, Mysterio wants more.
In an interview with Gorilla Position before Bash in Berlin, Mysterio was asked if he’d like a match against his former Mami, Rhea Ripley.
“I don’t think they [WWE] would book it, but I’m here for it,” Mysterio said. “I mean, let’s just leave it at that.”
When interviewer James Delow insinuated that Ripley would have to destroy Mysterio, the third-generation superstar protested.
“I came out my mother’s womb and dropkicked the doctor. What do you think I’d be willing to do as a 27-year-old?”
Now that he’s lost a match to Ripley, you could imagine that Mysterio wants to battle her more than before.
Ripley eventually responded to the potential match by sharing the story from Wrestle Features on X with a simple comment: “Bring it.”
While Mysterio is correct that this isn’t something WWE would normally book, the company does have a history of mixed matches.
During the Attitude Era, Hall of Famer Chyna was often booked against men due to her bodybuilder physique and power. She was the first woman to enter the King of the Ring tournament and held the Intercontinental Championship twice.
Additionally, four women have competed in Men’s Royal Rumble matches: Chyna (1999 and 2000), Beth Phoenix (2010), Kharma/Awesome Kong (2012), and Nia Jax (2019).
A match between Ripley and Mysterio would be fantastic, especially since their styles would mesh perfectly. On top of that, taking out Dom would be a great way to get Ripley back in the title picture against Morgan.
