“Real numbers are many times worse” – Trump accuses DC officials of lying about crime data

Donald Trump has accused DC officials of lying regarding crime statistics.

Trump wrote: “The REAL figures are much worse.” A Precinct commander was suspended recently for allegedly manipulating Violent Crime Statistics. The D.C. Police Union also claims that the REAL numbers are higher.

Trump added that “Because of the Democrat Government of D.C. having largely stopped investigating and arresting the majority of Crime, the published Statistics don’t capture a fraction of actual Violence.”

Washington, D.C., is home to one of the highest rates of crime in the world, higher than the violent Third World Countries. The City’s homicide rate is more than ten times greater than Fallujah in Iraq. D.C. would have the highest homicide rate of any state in America if it were a state. In just over a decade, the violent crime rate in D.C. increased and the murder rate nearly DOUBLED. But these statistics are “officially” released by corrupt city officials. The REAL figures are much worse. A Precinct commander was suspended recently for allegedly manipulating Violent Crime Statistics. The D.C. Police Union also claims that the REAL numbers are higher. The D.C. Democrat Government has largely stopped investigating and arresting crimes, as well as prosecuting them. As a result, published statistics only capture a small fraction of actual violence. Shoplifting is not a crime. Fearful citizens have given up calling the Police and instead choose to avoid walking the streets at night. They are effectively becoming prisoners of their own City. The merchandise is locked behind glass walls in stores. Gang youth violence is so prevalent that it’s largely not reported. Vehicle theft in D.C. exceeds the national average by more than threefold. The schools are in a complete state of dysfunction. Citizens are afraid of calling the Police or speaking up, for fear they will be targeted. REAL crime rates are likely five to ten time higher than what is reported. D.C. was under attack by thugs, killers and other criminals. Now, D.C., is under federal control. The White House is the one in charge. Our Great Police and the Military will free this city, remove all filth and make it clean, safe, habitable, and beautiful again!

  • Washington, D.C. had a homicide rate of just 13,9 per 100,000 residents in 2012.

• Washington, D.C., has a murder rate that is approximately three times greater than Islamabad, Pakistan, as well as 18 times that of Havana, Cuba, a communist-run city.

• Since 2020, the number of juveniles arrested each year in Washington, D.C., is on the rise. Many of them have been previously arrested for violent crimes.

• Washington, D.C. reported 29,348 crimes last year, which included 3,469 violent crimes, 1,026 assaults using a dangerous weapon, 2113 robberies, 5,139 vehicle thefts, and 2,113 robberies.

• Washington, D.C. has already reported nearly 1,600 violent crimes in 2025 and almost 16,000 total crimes.

  • Nearly 100 homicides have occurred, including the shooting deaths of innocent civilians such as Honesty Cheadle, a three-year old girl and Eric Tarpinian Jachym (21 years old), a Capitol Hill intern.
