The 911 call that was made the day the four University of Idaho Students died by stabbing reveals confusion, as callers realize at least one of them is not awake.
The audio was released on Friday. A woman called 911 in 2022 at 11:55 am. She was very upset as she said, “Something has happened in our home.”
She began to cry as she gave the address. Another woman answered the phone.
The second woman said to a dispatcher, “One of my roommates is passed out. She was drunk last evening and she is not waking up.” “Oh, they saw a man in their home last night.”
The original caller called back, asking to tell the dispatcher about what had happened at 4 am. …”. The dispatcher then cut her off and said she needed to find out what was happening and if anyone was unconscious.
The woman told them they would check, but then stated that the student was still asleep and not waking. The dispatcher informed them that help was on its way. The caller, or callers, at that point may have sounded as if they were crying and breathing heavily. They told the dispatcher the person who wasn’t breathing was aged 20.
The dispatcher then asked the callers to stop passing phones around. The male told the dispatcher the woman wasn’t breathing. When the police arrived, the call ended soon after.
