Everyone’s favorite game show host Pat Sajak just delighted fans with his first post in three months after retiring as host of Wheel of Fortune earlier this summer.

Sajak, who wrapped up his tenure with Wheel on June 7, posted a message for fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday, September 6, about the end of the game show’s summer reruns.

“This is the last night of summer reruns, although having cable and streaming services means never having to say goodbye,” Sajak said to his fans. “Looking forward to Season 5 of @celebritywof on @ABCNetwork this fall, as well as what’s coming next,” he continued, teasing his future hosting gig.

Fans jumped in the replies to let the 77-year-old know how excited they are to see him again. “Nice to see you back here!” one fan posted, while another said, “Missed you, Pat. 💕” A third fan said, “Seeing you on some celebrity episodes will be a nice way for you to officially go out. While I’ll still miss seeing you at the helm, Pat, hopefully you do well with whatever is next for you.😊”

In July it was announced that the cherished host is already planning on getting back behind the wheel amid his retirement to lead the upcoming season of the game show’s celebrity edition this fall. Even though Sajak wrapped up 40-year tenure as host, he’s excited to come out of retirement for one final spin.

The new episodes of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune are set to air on Monday, Oct. 7, at 8/7c. Season 42 of Wheel of Fortune with new host Ryan Seacrest is set to air on Monday, September 9.
