Former WWE Superstar Denies Calling Triple H Racist

In general, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has seen a massive improvement in quality since Triple H took over as head of creative.

However, this hasn’t been a net positive for every wrestler on the roster. Former CEO Vince McMahon definitely had a type of superstar he liked to push, some of whom haven’t gotten the same attention under Triple H.

This has included Omos, MVP, and former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley — the latter two having been released this past year.

Recently, some controversy was raised when MVP revealed that Triple H didn’t want to bring back the Hurt Business, a popular stable featuring Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin.

Additionally, MVP questioned Triple H’s booking of Omos, claiming he shouldn’t just use him as a special attraction.

Some fans used MVP’s comments to say that he claimed “The Game” was racist, but he has since denied these claims during a virtual signing with K&S Wrestlefest.

“It made the rounds that ‘MVP said Triple H was racist,'” MVP said. “I never said that word. I never said that. You show me the quote or the caption where I said that.”

“Somebody made a comment on my social media about how he books black talent. I just said, ‘Ah, you see it.’ I never said he is racist. I never said that. That was never anything I said. I want to make that very clear.”

MVP then elaborated, saying that while he didn’t think Triple H was racist, he still didn’t agree with his booking decisions.

“Now, my opinion on how he books talent of color, that’s a different conversation, but I never said the man was racist. Hulk Hogan is racist. He said it himself, ‘I’m a little bit racist.’ He said that.”

“As far as Triple H, I don’t know that he is. I don’t know what his motivations are, but I never said he was racist.”

MVP isn’t wrong, especially when it comes to booking Omos. At 7-foot-3 and 416 pounds, there is no one in the world like the Nigerian Giant.

The last time Omos was seen on a WWE program was during the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 5, 2024. More than five months have passed since then.

While he’s been booked as a terrifying monster, Omos actually has a funny and joyous personality on social media. He would actually be a great substitution for Odyssey Jones in the New Day storyline after he was reportedly released by WWE.
