Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson wasn’t spotted on the practice field on Monday, three days after the Ravens’ Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Various Baltimore beat reporters noted Jackson’s absence on social media as the Ravens prepare for their Week 2 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

“Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was not present during Monday’s practice,” Jamison Hensley of ESPN posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In Thursday’s loss to Chiefs, Jackson played the entire game, throwing for 273 yards and running 16 times for 122 yards.

John Harbaugh will talk to reporters at 3PM.

Jackson is coming off a Week 1 performance against the Chiefs on Thursday night in which he threw for 273 yards while rushing 16 times for another 122 yards. He did just about everything he could to try to take down the defending back-to-back champion Chiefs, but fell just short, losing the game on an overturned last-second touchdown.

Jackson was proud of his team’s effort in that contest, though.

“I believe everyone in our locker room hates losing, point-blank period — coaches, trainers, equipment guys, cafeteria women and men and definitely the players — because we’re out there putting it on the line, blood, sweat and tears,” Jackson said to reporters after Thursday night’s loss. “And for us to lose to those guys, and the way we lost, even though I don’t want to lose, but I can’t be mad at my guys because we battled.”

The Ravens are looking to put their Week 1 loss behind them as they welcome the Las Vegas Raiders into town for their home opener this weekend. The Raiders are coming off an abysmal Week 1 performance against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders mustered just 10 points, as their offense sputtered against new head coach Jim Harbaugh and his tough defense.

The Ravens currently enter the matchup as 9.5-point favorites, but that’s with the assumption that Jackson will play. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is scheduled to speak to reporters at 3 p.m. local time, which should provide fans with an update on their star quarterback.

In addition to Jackson, there were a handful of other Ravens absent from Monday’s practice. According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, linebacker Kyle Van Noy, cornerback Nate Wiggins, wide receiver Deonte Harty, and linebacker Adisa Isaac were also absent from Monday’s practice.

More updates should come on Jackson and the rest of the Ravens soon.
