Smack in the middle of her Trump support scandal, Brittany Mahomes took to her Instagram Story to share another controversial post — this time, about both the “poison” in food in America, as well as the price hike on grocery items without any.

“Me: Hi, can I buy some food without the added poison?” reads Mahomes’ repost, which she shared on Tuesday, September 10. “America: Yes, but we charge extra for that.”

While Brittany — who is currently pregnant with her and Patrick Mahomes’ third child — did not mention any specifics of the supposed “poison,” many have long criticized the extra additives, preservatives and sugar added to food in America that other countries do not have. The high cost of organic food in the U.S. has also been hotly contested for years.

Brittany’s Instagram critique comes just days after she made headlines for hugging pal Taylor Swift at the US Open. The majority of Swift fans — furious and devastated to see their idol embracing an alleged Trump supporter after Swift’s previous condemnation of the controversial former president — called out both the Grammy winner and Brittany on social media.

Brittany, for her part, first stoked the flames of social media in late August, when she reportedly “liked” an Instagram post detailing Trump’s alleged controversial plans if he were to be elected again. A few weeks later — after hitting back at the “haters” in one post and reposting a quote about how one “can disagree with someone, and still love them” — Brittany appeared to double down on her Trump support, “liking” a comment in support of the presidential candidate and his VP pick, J.D. Vance.

Trump, for his part, praised Brittany, whom he called “beautiful.” He also spoke about “INFLATION Ravaging all Americans,” which may be related to the mom of two’s repost about the expense of food.
