Donald Trump has already faced the heat from Democratic candidate Kamala Harris as they spar in the bid to win the 2024 presidential election. But it might also behoove him to avoid the wrath of the Swifties.
Following the presidential candidate debate on Tuesday, September 10, Swift took to social media to officially announce her endorsement of Harris. In doing so, the 14-time Grammy winner noted that it was Trump’s use of a fake AI Swift endorsing him that “brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter,” she wrote in her Instagram caption, adding: “The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
Trump didn’t take this loss in silence.

The former president and current Republican contender called into Fox & Friends on Wednesday, September 11, bashing Swift’s decision and comparing her to Brittany Mahomes — the singer’s friend and alleged Trump supporter.
“It was only a matter of time,” Trump said of Swift’s endorsement. “You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden. But [Swift is] a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace. But I l like Brittany. Brittany is great. She’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift. Wife of the great quarterback, [Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs]. I think she’s terrific.”
As is par for the course, Swifties on X (formerly Twitter) did not take this sitting down.
One fan noted that Swift “had the highest grossing tour of all time after endorsing Bidenin 2020,” so she won’t have to worry about paying a price.
Another fan called Brittany’s fame into question.
“Britney [sic] is only known beacause [sic] shes the wife of a famous footballer,” said another Swiftie. “Taylor is an awarding winning commerically successful independent female singer.”

Some others believe Trump wasn’t even aware who Brittany was until rumors of her support for him began circulating.
And some folks chalked Trump comparing two women up to plain old misogyny.
“Oh no, your AI campaign didn’t work, so you’re going to be a sexist piece of s**t about it! Boo f**king hoo,” said one Swiftie.
“He’s literally so dumb!!,” said another. “He can’t even articulate in what metric he prefers Brittany Mahomes to Taylor Swift! He does not know either of these women!!!”
