Simone Biles made her love for husband Jonathan Owens even more permanent with some new ink on her left ring finger.

After her Gold Over America Tour stop in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, September 18, Biles had an appointment with a fine-line tattoo specialist in the area named Sydney Smith. She shared a selfie at the shop to her Instagram Stories, writing, “after show tattoos🤪🤪 @sydsmithhh @jesse.tattoo.”

The gold medalist, 27, got a tiny, sans serif “J” tattooed on her finger. The new ink coordinates with Owens’ tattoo for Biles, a larger cursive “S” he has on his ring finger that he debuted in July 2024.

This marks the second tattoo Biles has gotten for Owens, 29, as the pair also got matching “444” tattoos ahead of their 2023 wedding. At the time, she shared the ink to her Instagram Stories, posting, “4better, 4worse, 4ever.” Biles and Owens first met in 2020 on the dating app Raya, and became engaged in February 2022.

In addition to her “J” tattoo, the Simone Biles Rising star got “Made in Heaven” tattooed on the back of her neck — each of which took about an hour and half to complete, the tattoo artist told TMZ. The two new pieces are part of a growing collection for Biles, who got her first tattoo after her Olympic debut at the Rio Olympics.

After taking home four gold medals and one bronze in 2016, Biles got the Olympic rings tattooed on the inside of her right arm. She also has her birth year — 1997 — above her right elbow, “golden” on her left wrist, butterflies on her hand, “XO” on her inner lip, and “and still I rise” — a reference from the Maya Angelou poem — on her collarbone.

The collarbone tattoo is a personal one for Biles, as she got it after withdrawing from the Tokyo Olympics due to her struggles with the “twisties” as well as dealing with her mental health.

She speaks about it in her 2024 Netflix documentary, explaining, “Before I got this tattoo, it was a saying that I loved obviously, Maya Angelou. And I was like, ‘and still I rise,’ is perfect because I feel like that’s kind of the epitome of my career, and my life story… even after all of the traumas and the downfalls, I’ve always risen.”
