The Kansas City Chiefs’ Taylor Swift reference has gone viral online, and fans are loving it.

On Sunday, the NFL team took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a photo of Travis Kelce, who is dating the “Cruel Summer” singer. The tight end was dressed in a white shirt with a black tie, black pants and a black jacket with red sneakers. He finished off his look with a hat and sunglasses.

“Happiness. Fun. Magic,” the Chiefs captioned the image, referring to a quote from Swift’s MTV Video Music Awards speech.

At the time of publication, the post racked up more than 994,000 views, over 19,000 likes and 324 comments.

In the replies, fans of Swift—known as Swifties—praised the Chiefs’ social media team.

“Whoever the admin is I LOVE YOU,” @JackTomo7139 said in a message with over 400 likes.

“That caption is perfect,” @PamelaAmy87 wrote.

“God I love the Chiefs,” @ithitsdiffpod added, while @jentulicki chimed in, “Admin ATE with this caption.”

“BYE NOT THEM QUOTING WHAT TAY SAID IN HER VMAS SPEECH #taylorswift #ChiefsKingdom,” @NataliaPurce shared.

Newsweek reached out to the Kansas City Chiefs via email for comment.

On September 11, Swift took home the award for Video of the Year for her hit song “Fortnight” off her The Tortured Poets Department album.

“The thing is that this video seems very sad when you watch, it but it actually was, like, the most fun video to make,” the pop star said at the VMAs. “Something that I’ll always remember is that when I would finish a take and I’d say cut and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone cheering ‘woo’ from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.”

She continued, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”

The couple have been linked since last summer, when Kelce made an appearance at Swift’s Eras Tour show in Kansas City, Missouri, in July. After she attended a handful of his football games, the pair went public with their romance at a Saturday Night Live after-party in October.

This year, the Grammy Award winner has already been to several of his games while she’s on hiatus from her Eras Tour. She was spotted at the Chiefs’ season-opener on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens as well as the Chiefs’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 15. Swift did not appear to attend Sunday’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

“I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends,” Kelce said on The Pat McAfee Show in January. “It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man.”
