Former president Donald Trump has vowed to stop all flights carrying migrants to Pennsylvania “immediately” if he is elected in the 2024 Presidential Race.

The Republican presidential nominee has promised to carry out mass deportations starting in Ohio and Colorado as he squares off against Vice President Kamala Harris in the race for the White House.

Harris has pledged to revive President Biden’s failed bipartisan border security bill, which Trump was accused of killing.

“When I’m president, all migrant flights to Pennsylvania will stop immediately.” Trump told his supporters at a rally in India, Pennsylvania, on Monday.

“Think of the cruelty Kamala Harris is inflicting on the people of Pennsylvania. You live in a small town your whole life; pay your taxes; and suddenly, she flies in thousands and thousands of migrants from the most dangerous places on earth, and they deposit them right smack in the middle of your community.”

Trump accused Democrats of being “politically correct” in their handling of the immigration crisis.

“When I am president, all migrant flights to Pennsylvania will stop the moment I take the oath of office. Those who do not belong will be sent back home. We will end the invasion of small-town Pennsylvania—and we will end the destruction of America,” Trump said.

Trump compared Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, to “lawless gangs” during his campaign rally.

“Has your beautiful town changed?” Trump said to his supporters at his Monday night rally in Indiana.

“It’s composed of lawless gangs.”

“Do you think Springfield will ever be the same? You have to get them the hell out. You have to get them out,” Trump said to his MAGA loyalists.

Crowds of his supporters erupted with chants declaring “Send them back.”

Presidential historian Allan Lichtman issued a scathing attack on former president Trump’s debunked claims about the Haitian migrants eating pets in Ohio and described them as a “blatant lie” and “racist.”

“I was shocked and dismayed that a former American president and current candidate for the most important position in the history of the world would put forward such a statement,” Lichtman told Newsweek.

“That was not only a blatant lie but irremediably racist, as we know. You know, migrants are primarily people of color. And it’s the clear implication here that not only are these people of color mentally deficient, rapists, and criminals, but they are such barbarians as to steal people’s pets and eat them. Just an astounding statement coming from the mouth of someone vying for the US presidency,” he said.

Voters support efforts to curb migration, as 54% of respondents back Trump’s flagship mass deportation policy, according to a Scripps News/Ipsos poll.

Immigration policy is a top concern for voters in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election. The growing demand for stricter immigration controls has become bipartisan.

Furthermore, a recent Gallup poll revealed a 15-point increase in Republicans favoring less immigration, an 11-point rise among independents, and a 10-point uptick among Democrats compared with last year.

A recent New York Times poll shows Trump holding a five-point lead in Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona. Conducted from September 17-21, the poll reveals the tightest race in North Carolina, where Trump leads Harris 49% to 47%. In Georgia, Trump is ahead by four points, with a 49% to 45% advantage.
