A woman’s “trust” in her hair, which audiences inferred from her confidence in styling it quickly and being satisfied with the result, has sparked conversation and plenty of self-deprecating jokes among viewers online.
Agnes Gyllensvärd (@agnesgyllensvard) regularly posts hair tutorials and hacks to TikTok, where she has over 85,000 followers. The creator recently sparked discussion within her digital community after sharing how she fakes a salon-quality blow dry by using three heatless curlers while on the go.
In the comments section of her video, she shared that her hair was “95 percent” dry before the heatless curlers were wrapped around large chunks of it and left in place for approximately 40 minutes.
Viewers saw Gyllensvärd remove the heatless curlers to reveal bouncy waves that resembled those created in a salon or with pricey tools.
An overlaid text on the video read, “How much I trust my hair,” while the creator added in the caption, “never gives me reasons not to.”
Since it was shared on TikTok on September 4, the short style video has been viewed more than 3.1 million times and has amassed more than 406,000 likes and 376 comments. Viewers online have complimented Gyllensvärd’s effortless curls while joking about how difficult the look would be to attain on other hair types since it had not been left in her hair for very long or intricately placed in.
“Personally my hair and I have never trusted each other,” one viewer, who is known on the platform as Emma Faulk, said.
Another viewer, @crxyypt, commented on the video: “Mine falls within 30 minutes, I mouse and hairspray it but it just doesn’t stay.”
