The No. 1 college team in the nation has gone down. The Crimson Tide of Alabama has lost their first game against the season in upset fashion, losing to unranked Vanderbilt. Alabama has fallen to the Commodores, 40-35.
Vanderbilt pulled off one of the biggest upsets in SEC history Saturday evening. This is Vanderbilt’s first win against a top-five program in program history. On top of that, the Commodores’ 40 points are also the most they’ve ever scored against a top-five team and the most they have scored against Alabama since a 78-0 win in 1906.

The Crimson Tide has suffered their first loss in the Kalen DeBoer era. This moves Alabama to a 4-1 record and likely out of the top spot in the nation. As for Vanderbilt, this win could move them into the top 25 as they now sit with a 3-2 record.
Alabama has recently moved to No. 1 in the nation after beating the Georgia Bulldogs last week in a thriller in Tuscaloosa.
